News Release March 13, 2006 th Argentina becomes 20 country to issue a patent for technology related to Mannatech’s glyconutritional Ambrotose complex Coppell, Texas – Argentina has become the 20th country to issue a patent to Mannatech, Incorporated (NASDAQ-MTEX), for technology related to the company’s Ambrotose complex, a proprietary blend of plant-based nutrients formulated to support the body’s immune system. Argentine Patent No. AR009037B1 will remain in effect until August 2017. The company now holds patents for technology related to the Ambrotose complex in Argentina, Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and the United States. “Our stature as a global leader in glyconutrition is strengthened each time we receive a new patent,” said Sam Caster, Mannatech’s founder, CEO and chairman of the board. “These patents validate our commitment to protecting our investments in intellectual property.
