ABSTRACT: 750 kV transmission system is widely distributed in the Northwest Power Grid. It has the characteristics of large
transmission capacity, long-transmission distance and good economic benefit. But there also have the influencing factors such as
large distributed capacitance, rich high-frequency component when there is a failure, and slow attenuation of DC aperiodic
component, etc. Based on the phenomenon of the 2nd harmonic partial resonance overvoltage, the mechanism is analyzed.
Combining with the net parameters and the monitoring data, the transmitting of the harmonic produced by the 750 kV transformer
switching with no-load is analyzed, and the harmonic impedances of the 750 kV bus are computed, then some suggestions are given.
