The results revealed a strong negative relationship between these parameters with a highly significant correlation (r = −0.923) indicating that the higher the wood density the lower its water absorption rate. A regression equation for predicting water adsorption based on wood density had the same correlation coefficient and an estimated accuracy of 99.0
