Department of Physics, Liaoning Normal University , Dalian 11602 , China) Abstract: T he met hod for measuring the modulation transfer function ( MTF) of a chargecoupled device ( CCD) with a Michlshon interferometer was presented. Compared w ith ot her method, the advantages of t he method include simple measuring setup and the straightforward projection of the sine pattern to the measured CCD array without an optical system. Measured curves of MTF for t he typical linear and area CCDs are shown.
