Herein we report the preparation of Co complexes of new iminopyridine ?oxazoline (IPO) ligands and the first Co-catalyzed asymmetric alkene hydroborations with HBpin. This system exhibits unprecedented levels of enantioselectivity for hydroborations of 1,1-disubstituted aryl alkenes (up to 99.5% ee).
