Abs rac : Side post reinforcing plate of railw ay w agon is a typical medium and growth stamping plat e made of
Q4 0NQR 1. Based on the theoret ical analysis, stamping process w as opt imized and designed which could increase the
service performance and manufacturability of t he side post reinforcing plate. The structure and operation process of ob
lique cutting die w ere described in details. The practical processing show s that t he die is simple , easy, safe, reliable to
be operated and t he produced workpiece is qualified. Tens of thousands of tarpaulin guard irons have been produced by
the die and t he economic benefits are excellent.
