What is innovation? According to Peter, the worlds leading management guru, Drucker, innovation is a new ability to give resources to create wealth. The connotation of Druckers concept of innovation is profound and extensive, and it can stand the test of practice and has an important guiding role in economic and social life. It tells us that innovation not only includes knowledge innovation (such as scientific inventions) and technological innovation, but also economic and social innovation, including all can bring economic and social transformation, and other forms of resources for the new productivity, so as to create wealth.
Drucker summed up purposeful innovation and innovation opportunities as seven sources. We can regard purposeful innovation as active seeking innovation, while innovation opportunity refers to the objective innovation opportunity. Drucker identifies knowledge innovation or technological innovation as one of the seven sources of innovation. It is of course very important.
