This caused the “good” fibers to have higher glass transition temperatures (Tg). Material made from these fibers could better withstand the high temperatures of machine washing and drying. The glass transition temperature of a fiber is a critical indicator of its end-use performance. At or near the Tg, fibers become dimensionally unstable and begin to shrink. Therefore, it is desirable for Tg t
