Study on the Magnetic Relaxation and aging effect of Perovskite Oxides Nd1-xSrxCoO1-3(0.10≤x≤0.20)
Abstract. Ac susceptibility, magnetic relaxation and aging effect of perovskite oxides Nd1-xSrxCoO3 (0.1≤x≤0.2) were investigated systematically in this paper. Perfectly mirror symmetry of the magnetization relaxation curves show the presence of frustrated phenomenon in samples. Moreover, the relaxation fitted results suggest that the interaction between ferromagnetism clusters makes contribution to spin glass state in Nd1-xSrxCoO3. Therefore, our study confirms that the magnetic relaxation and aging effect may be intrinsic properties of spin glass indeed. The different measurements are only a technique used to search for the magnetic behavior of system.
Key words: Aging effect, Magnetic relaxation, Spin glass.
1. Introduction
Recently, more attention has focused on the rare earth cobaltite where exists the unusual phase competition between ferromagnetism and spin glass state, such as La1-xSrxCoO3 [1-3]. Apart from this, Yan-kun Tang et al. further pointed out that the phase separation leads to the ferromagnetism / spin glass interfaces in La1-xSrxCoO3 because the La1-xSrxCoO3 exhibits relaxation and aging effect [4]. But the reasons for the formation of spin glass behaviors are still an open question. Thus, it is interesting to further research about the magnetic property for Nd1-xSrxCoO3 (0.1≤x≤0.2) samples.
We present study on the magnetic relaxation and aging effect of cobaltite oxides polycrystalline Nd1-xSrxCoO3 (0.1≤x≤0.2) in this paper. Our results give strong evidence for the existence of magnetic frustrated phenomenon in spin glass system.
2. Experimental details
The Nd1-xSrxCoO3 (NSCO) (0.1≤x≤0.2) samples were prepared using conventional solid-state reaction. First, the stoichiometric mixture of Nd2O3, precalcinated in air at 800 ℃, SrCO3 and Co2O3 powders were ground thoroughly and
