In perspective of a pillar position of construction industry ，industrial scale and benefit ，numbers of enterprises and employees ，completed acreage， amount of new contracts，completed projects’ values of housing and civilian service ，and contracted projects outreach. The characteristics of China’s construction industry development in 2012 are summarized in six aspects including the increase of regional development gap and relative concentration of construction market distribution. The completion of main indicators of China’s special and the first grade enterprises in 2012 are analyzed，including total output value，total revenue ，benefit and value of the new contracts. The situations are detailed in four aspects of specialty category，qualification ranking，registration region and registration type.
