The No.4 Middle School of Dandong,Liaoning China A Good Environment,a Step to Success ---to help students set up a bright future with advantages and characteristics The No.4 Middle School of Dandong,founded in 1954,is situated in the biggest border city in China,along the Yalu River.It is a school with a long history and is full of culture and modern atomosphere.The former name was a junior high school and at different times people called it different names,,such as Kangda No.4 Middle School during the Cultural Revolution .It became a four-year school in one of the 17 experimental schools in 1965 and then back into its present name in 1978,when it was identified as one of the first key high schools by the Department of Liaoning. In 2008,it was moved to a new area,becoming a first boarding school in the district,and was approved as a Modal High School in the province of Liaoning. Achievements of the School It has more than 50 classes with students of about 2700.In the past fifty years,it has sent large numbers of students to colleges and universities under the theory of Harmonious Development of People-centered Innovation with the aim to establish a school famous in the city,well-known in the province and a first-class boarding school in the state.In 2001,Zhao Yongkai was admitted into Tsinghua University with a score of 672 as a prominent science student in this district. and liang Guotao was admitted into Tsinghua University, with a score of 606 as a prominent arts student in the area .In 2004,there were 28 students scoring more than 600 points in the College Entrance Examination.
