H. Fraenkel, a German Jew, has published lots of works in many research ﬁ elds. He developed the p -adic ﬁ eld, the ring theory, the axiomatic set theory and many other mathematical theories with the help of axiomatic idea. He is a practitioner who promoted the axiomatization of the p -adic ﬁ eld and the ring theory. A deserved master of axiomatic set theory, he is at the same time an excellent historian of science and technology and educator. By document researching and concept analyzing, this paper gives a systematic study of the life, contribution and inﬂ uence of A. H. Fraenkel. Key Words: A. H.
