SECTION 1A9 - EXTERIOR ORNAMENTATION IMPORTANT Before performing any Service Operation or other procedure described in this Section, refer to Section 00 CAUTIONS AND NOTES for correct workshop practices with regard to safety and/or property damage. 1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION The majority of exterior ornamentation components for VX Series Models carry over from VT Series Models with some minor revisions. For information, including Service Operations and Torque Wrench Specifications that are not covered in this Section, refer to Section 1A9 EXTERIOR ORNAMENTATION in the VT Series I and VT Series II Service Information. NOTE: Information in these two Sections are to be read in conjunction with each other. To help determine which components carry over, the Pictorial Index (refer 2.2 PICTORIAL INDEX in this Section) provides a reference as to where to find the relevant service information for all exterior ornamentation components. Exterior ornamentation components are secured to the body using various fasteners, double sided tape and polyurethane adhesive. Exterior ornamentation on VX Series Models includes: • Body side mouldings for all model variants except ‘S’ and ‘SS’ Models. • Various name plates, emblems and decals depending on model variant. • An air deflector for Wagon Models and an air spoiler for ‘S’ and ‘SS’ Models. • Door frame opening mouldings. • Door belt mouldings. • ‘B’ pillar and quarter panel to roof mouldings. • Roof finisher and side mouldings. • Rocker panel skirts. • Roof racks – Berlina Wagon. 2.
