Pre-delivery Inspection PRE-DELIVERY INSPECTION 1. Pre-delivery Inspection A: GENERAL DESCRIPTION The purposes of the pre-delivery inspection (PDI) are as follows. • Remove the additional parts used for ensuring the vehicle quality during transportation and restore the vehicle to its normal condition. • Check that the vehicle before shipment is in nor- mal condition. • Check that there are no scratches on the vehicle and that none of the vehicle protective parts are missing when shipping or in storage. • Make sure to deliver a complete vehicle to cus- tomer. For above reasons, all SOA service centers must carry out the PDIs before delivery of vehicle. Furthermore, all SOA service centers and PDI cen- ters must inspect the status of all vehicles and clar- ify the responsible party.
