Plan of Action for the implementation of Strategy 2020 by Red Cross Society of China XXX, Vice Preisident, RCSC Mar. 5th, XXXX Xiamen The Significance of Strategy 2020 Strategy 2020 drafted by Federation is an important document for the development of all the National Societies in the coming 10 years.It has drawn up for all National Societies a clear blueprint about the development direction in the next 10 years, the strategic objectives and cooperation programmes. Although the Strategy is a document of universal guidance, National Societies should adapt it to their own contexts and make concrete plans of operation. Only by doing this can the strategy be localized and implemented. Concrete actions to promote Strategy 2020 by RCSC In the year of 2009, the 9th National Convention of Red Cross Society of China was held, during which the new leadership was elected. The Five Year Plan of 2010-2014 of Red Cross Society of China was also drafted based on the strategic aims and enabling actions of Strategy 2020. The Five Year Plan of 2010-2014 for the International Exchanges and Cooperation of Red Cross Society of China was drafted with 5 tasks as below; Continue to enhance bilateral and multilateral exchanges and cooperations To engage actively in the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, and strengthen cooperations and exchanges with the international organizations and other Naition Societies within the Movement. External promotion should also be enhanced to increase the ability and influence of our national society within the Movement. Effort should be intensified to promote international cooperation in order to learn the advanced ideas and techniques. Agreements for the externally-supported programmes should be fulfilled and a reasonable and transparent use of the funds should be ensured.
