Urban residential differentiation lies in one of the most direct embodiments of the social division. Based on the investigation in recent three years, this paper takes the main city of Nanjing as the study area, and the urban demolition for reconstruction as a unique research perspective. Through Arc GIS, SPSS, and other means of data analysis methods, this paper analyzes in detail the giant database of the fundamental information of each demolition sites, and summarizes four characters of the demolition sites as follows: 1)th
