From the cultivation perspective, we analyzed the situation of self -efficacy of postgraduate students in 2010 grade from Yunnan University, explored the value of self -efficacy to promote and improve cognitive ability, innovation ability, willpower and emotion control ability of the postgraduate; then we explored behavior, motivation and emotional characteristics which impact on self -efficacy, put forward some suggestions on the cultivation and improvement of the graduates self -efficacy.
