GOD method , DRASTIC method, SINTACS method, and SI method, w ere applied to assessment of groundw ater vulnerability to pollution in Zhangji area of Xuzhou City, and the map for groundwater vulnerability w as draw n by use of GIS/ ARCINFO. Diff erent results about vulnerability of f issuredkarstic aquifer in Zhangj i area w ere obtained by use of diff erent methods, and it is concluded that SI method is the most suitable method for this area. As a result , it is suggested that rational assessment methods of groundwater vulnerability should be selected based on the practical situation and realtime monitoring data of pollution of the areas to be assessed.
