Corre ponding author : HA N Cong , E-mail: cong - han @ 126. com) Abstract: The monom ineral flotation te t w hich for inve tigating the flotability of hemimorphite and the influence of n-octanol on the flotability of hemimorphite were conducted u ing dodecy lamine ( DDA) a collector. The re ult how ed that the unactivated hem imorphite can be collected well by appropriate do age of DDA w hile the pH of pulp located in 10 to 11. Hemimorphite cant be collected by n-octanol. Ad orption of DDA cation on hemimorphite urface and the minimum activated concentration of DDA w ere dow ngraded by n-octanol. The ame flotation effect w a achieved when u ing the combination collector w hich 25% amount of ub tance proportion DDA w a replaced by n-octanol, compared w ith u ing DDA alone did.
