The transmitter and receiver of transient electromagnetic sounding system require precious synchronization, the precision of which is less than 1s. This paper introduces the principle and design of transient electromagnetic sounding system based on the GPS synchronization. In addition, the GPS synchronization is compared with other synchronization techniques in this paper . Also it studied on the fast shut off of IGBT of power transmitter and receiver design based on the floating- point amplification .
