Hubei Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students from the ASEAN Countries, and from Australia, New Zealand and Fiji Enrollment Scheme Hubei Provincial Department of Education established the Hubei Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students from the ASEAN Countries, and from Australia, New Zealand and Fiji for students who intend to study Chinese for one semester/one academic year or one-year foundation course in China. To make full use of the scholarship in international student education of Hubei University, an overall scholarship-student admission requirement is developed as follows. I. Scholarship Eligibility Applicants should be citizens of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji or Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). II.Duration of Study Scholarship students will study Chinese language for one semester(5 months)/one academic year (10 months) or one-year foundation course (10 months) in Hubei University, China. III.Requirements of Applicants Chinese language program applicants should have high school degree or above, under the age of 35 years old and in good health. Foundation course program applicants should have high school degree or above, under the age of 30 years old and in good health. IV.Scholarship Coverage and Criteria The scholarship provides full coverage on registration fee, tuition fee, textbook cost, one-off settlement subsidy of RMB1,500, one-off inter-city travel reimbursement, campus outpatient medical service and comprehensive medical insurance; Accommodation fee is under the overall planning and utilization of Hubei University which will provide scholarship holders with free dormitory rooms (usually double rooms);Living allowance of RMB1,500 per person is granted on monthly basis.
