英语：高一晨读每日5分钟（9） Growing up in public MILEY Cyrus is growing up. After years of reigning (在位) as the Teen Queen with her Disney Channel series Hannah Montana, the 17-year-old American is leaving the blond wig (金色假发) behind and trying to build a more serious acting career. The first step came with the recent release of The Last Song, a movie based on the book by American author Nicholas Sparks. Cyrus plays Ronnie, a piano prodigy (天才) who has turned her back on music, friends and family after her parents’ divorce (离婚). When she must spend the summer in Georgia with her father, Ronnie learns there’s more to growing up than just getting older. “As one chapter is beginning, one that’s been my life for the last five years is ending,” Cyrus says. “It’s interesting to be leaving my security blanket (给人安全感的熟悉物体) behind. But also it’s exciting.” The Last Song gave Cyrus a chance to interpret (诠释) her role. As Hannah she had to stick to the script (剧本). For Ronnie, director Julie Anne Robinson allowed Cyrus to adapt the character. Cyrus says she liked that Ronnie was a piano prodigy, not a singer. Robinson pushed Cyrus to show a range of emotions. “It’s easy to bring tears in a cry but it’s a little bit harder to go beyond that and see it in your eyes, your body language, and not the obvious,” Cyrus says. So far, growing up hasn’t hurt Cyrus’s popularity. “I couldn’t believe how many people would show up hours before we started filming just hoping to get a glimpse (一瞥) of her,” co-star Greg Kinnear says of the stardom he observed during filming: “It must have been what it was like when the Beatles came to America.” Cyrus plans to burn her “Hannah” wig after filming the final episode. “I can’t put it on again,” she says.
