The anatomic characteristic of primary teeth
The height of crown is low
The root is not completely developed
Pulp cavity is large and wall is thin
The hard tissue is thin and have high resolution.
The dentin tubule is bigger than mature permanent tooth.
The pulp has strong vitality.
Sequence of eruption
Deciduous dentition: ABCDE
Permanent dentition:
Maxilla 6124357 or 6124537
Mandible 6123457 or 6124357
Part 2, development and abnormality of tooth
Retained deciduous tooth: It is a kind of eruption abnormality. The deciduous tooth does not drop when corresponding permanent tooth has erupted.
Part 3, dental caries of children
Rampant caries: It is a suddenly appearing, widespread, rapidly burrowing type of caries, resulting in early involvement of the pulp and affecting those teeth usually regarded as immune to ordinary decay.
ECC: It is early child caries. It shows as Early carious involvement of the maxillary anterior teeth, maxillary and mandibular first primary molars, but the mandibular incisors are usually unaffected.
The order of susceptibility of the primary teeth to carious attack is as follows
Maxillary primary incisor Mandibular primary molar Maxillary primary molar、 Maxillary primary canine Mandibular primary anterior teeth
