大带宽竞争形势下同轴接入网的价值 挖掘HFC网络潜力 The value of the coaxial cable access network under broadband competitive pressures Exploring the potential capacities of HFC network 中广协会技术工作委员会 姚永 YAO Yong, Technical Committee of CRTA 华为技术 吴广生 WU Guangsheng, Huawei Techologies Co.,Ltd 摘要：在宽带竞争、FTTH成为国家强制标准的形势下，业界产生了一个疑问：同轴接入网还能坚持多久？本文作者对这个问题进行了深入思考，认为同轴接入网至少还会延续20-30年。作者指出，同轴接入网要继续向前演进，需要转变思路：在标准、设计、施工、维护等一系列环节作出相应改变，以适应网络光纤化、数字化、宽带化的新形势；作者还指出，当前HFC接入的瓶颈在光纤，需要推动10GEPON尽快规模商用。同时，作者对如何挖掘同轴资源潜力、提升HFC网络价值提出了一些思路和具体建议。 Abstract: Cable operators are facing with broadband competitive pressures from telecom operators. Especially under the situation that FTTH has become a national mandatory standard, the cable industry has raised a question: how long can coaxial access network hold the competition? After in-depth thinking on this issue, the authors keep the opinion that the coaxial cable access network will last for at least 20-30 years. As noted in the paper, along with the evolution of cable access technologies, it’s suggested that cable operators should make corresponding changes to accommodate the network evolving trends on fiber deeper, network digitization, and ultra broadband. Cable operators should pay more attention on cable standard, network design, infrastructure construction and maintenance and other related issues. The authors also noted that the broadband bottleneck of current PON and distributed coaxial cable access architecture is PON segment, the cable industry should push 10G EPON massive deployment as soon as possible.
