ABSTRACTAtpresent,ourcountryhasalreadyenteredtheagingsocietywhichwilllastalongtime.ThisisanimportantnationalconditionsofChinainthe21stcentury.Withtheincreasingnumberofelderlypopulation,peoplebegantopaycloseattentiontothequalityoflifeoftheelderly.However,thecurrentmajorityofourresidentialoutdoorenvironmentsaredesignedwithoutconsideringtheelderlysneeds,resultinginthelackofpropercommunityexchangesintheirdailylives.ThisarticletakestheTianjincommunitycaseinvestigationasafoundation,discussingthecurrentcommunicationspacedesignproblemsfortheurbanelderlyinresidentialarea.Aimingtoidentifythecausesoftheproblem,itproposedtherightdesigngoals,thebasicelementsanddesignmethod,tryingtotheoreticallyexplorethewayandmethodtosolvetheproblem,providingareferenceforfuturedesignpracticeandreference,therebyimprovingthelivingspaceenvironmentfortheelderpeople,promotingthegenerationoftheelderpeopleoutdooractivities,enhancingthequalityoflifefortheelderpeople.Thepaperstartingby“proposequestion——analysisquestion——solveproblem”tolaunchtheelaborationforthewritingmentality:Firstchapter:proposesthetopicbackground,thewritinggoal,theresearchtechnique,aswellasthecorrelationtheoriesresearchandsoon;Secondchapter:throughthewayofpracticeinvestigation,usingthemethodwhichcombinesfieldtripandquestionnaire,discoversdefectsandshortcomingsofthecurrentoutdoorcontactspacedesignfortheelderlyinTianjin,andcarriesontheanalysistotheexistencequestion;Thethirdchapter,conclusionobtainswhichaccordingtothediagnosis,identifiestheinfluencefactorsoftheelderlyresidentialoutdoorcontactspacedesign,launchestheanalysisandtheelaborationfromthemainbodyfactorsandtheobjectivefactors;Thefourthchapter,profitsfromtheTianjinVankecrystalcitycommunityseniorcitizenoutdoorscontactspacedesigncontentandthemethod,absorbsitsadvanceddesignexperience;Thefifthchapter,proposesthebasicdesignrequirements,thefundamentalelementandthedesignmethodfortheelderlyoutdoorcontactspaceinresidentialareas,startdiscussiononthedesignstrategiesoftheoutdoorinteractivesite
