Abstract Bribery corruption is ruled by successive rulers chronic illness, seriously impact on social stability and development. The Tang Dynasty carry out the criminal, administrative and civil penalties combined punishment for bribery, and adhere to the punishment principle of controlling the officials strictly. In the Tang Dynasty, the different intensity in punishing the bribery crime, directly related to the quality of the management of the late Tang Dynasty, but also affect the ups and downs. In short, punishing bribe mechanism formed in the Tang Dynasty, has provided valuable experience for future generations to punish bribery dynasties even today in many aspects of the legislation.
