万方数据万方数据 ABSTRACT “Rou Lianhua”, another name is “Lianhua Eighteen Sounds”, it is a folk amusing activity of Tujia Minority which combined gym with dance. It originated and passed in Shazi Town,Yanhe County, Guizhou. At the beginning of 1980s, it is handled, refined and reconstructed by the workers of Cultural Gallery in Yuanhe, basing on the origination. The performance is humourous and generous, understanding strong and soft, having amorous feelings of Tujia Monority. The writer combined the theory with practice, did the fieldwork about the folk gym “Rou Lianhua” of Tujia Minority in Yanhe, Guizhou, went into the gathering village of Tujia Minority, carried out the antatomic research about many influenced factors of the entire flowage progress with the help of theory of documents, interviews, folklore, history, culture and so on, made a conclusion as follows: Yanhe folk gym “Rou Lianhua” is produced in the long living work of Tujia Minority people, it is influenced by Bayu Dance and Tujia Festive Lantern, it is continual and replay of Tujia culture. The flowage course of “Rou Lianhua” is experienced the comfortable spontaneous period, adjustment period and development period in the time of wite direction. It showed different specialty in the course of social transition which is influenced by the factors of natural and social surroundings. In the social structure of comfortable and spontaneous, natural economy, The order development of folk activity items offered “Rou Lianhua” as gentle natural living conditions. Adjustment period, nation’s digging and handling for national folk culture provoke national folk cultural climax. “Rou Lianhua” spreads from countryside to city, walks from folk to stage. With the change from the Planning Economy System to the Market Economy System, People’s value changes with it. “Rou Lianhua” is deep in depression.After the Opening Policy till the developing period of the year 1987, “Rou Lianhua” acted as the folk gym cultural function
