RECEIVING EXAMINATION PROCEDURE 4 3 2 1 0 REV. NO. PREPARED BY REVIEWED BY APPROVED BY ACCEPTED BY RECEIVING EXAMINATION PROCEDURE 1. General 1.1 This procedure is applicable to the Code items which are fabricated in accordance with ASME Code Section Ⅷ Division 1. 1.2 The examiner shall be experienced. The natural or corrected acuity of examiner shall be capable of performing operation specified by this procedure. 1.3 The direct visual examination is employed by this procedure. 1.4 On the examination field the illuminator shall be sufficient that the examination can be performed well. 1.5 The measurement equipment used for examination shall be calibrated and be used in the effective period. 2. Examination Requirements 2.1 The receiving examination shall be made in accordance with the requirements specified in the purchase order and the Purchase Specification when applicable. The Material Test Report or Certificate of Compliance shall be checked whether it coincides with the received material and meets the requirements of the material specification. 2.2 All material that is to be accepted in accordance with the requirements of Charpy impact test shall be examined for surface cracks. The receiving examination shall include as follows: a. Detection of defects on surfaces and cutting edges; b. Measurement of dimensions including thickness; c. Marking verification on material against the material certificate; d. Quantity, size, shape. 2.4 For all product forms except plate, the material shall be examined whether the marking of each piece is so marked in accordance with purchase order and the Purchase Specification. If the Purchase Specification does not provide for the marking, the material shall be accepted provided the following requirements are met: a.
