Inspection of the tongue is inspection—one of the four methods of diagnosis. It observes the change of the patient’s tongue proper and tongue coating to exam the disease. It’s one of the important basis of TCM diagnose. The tongue is related with Zang-fu, Qi-blood, and body fluid. The tongue can be divided into tongue proper and tongue coating. It is commonly believed that the change of Zang-fu xu-shi, Qi-blood sheng-shuai, the change of bloody disease is mainly showed on the tongue proper and the change of Qi disease is showed on the tongue coating. Using inspection of the tongue in the TCM cosmetology area, it is mainly used in differentiation of symptoms and signs of picture of the tongue, differentiate substance cause of disease of skin. Take chloasma for example, tongue proper in light red, slimy and greasy fur, show insufficiency of the kidney-yang, excess of fire, the kidney-yin can not go to the top of the body, trauma yin-blood, dysfunction of
