Grammar(-ing形式) ---used as Subject, Object and Predicative -ing形式具有名词的特征，在句中可作主语、宾语、表语。如： Subject Listening to music is one of my favorite hobbies. Beating a child will do more harm than good． 小结一 动词– ing 做主语表示一般或抽象的,经常性的动作 It is no use trying to persuade him. He won’t listen to you at all. It’s a waste of time arguing with him. It’s not much fun going to a party alone. 小结二 在句型It’s (no good, no use, useless, fun, a waste of time等)中it是形式主语，动词ing是真正的主语 His being ill made his mother worried. Tom’s being chosen made us happy. Her not being chosen made us unhappy. 小结三 1.-ing做主
