According to preliminary investigation(初步调查）, the elevator’s door suddenly closed and clamped （夹住） the victim when she was walking out of the elevator car at the third floor. The victim was killed after the elevator went downwards. The woman was concentrating on（专注于） her cell phone, so she didn’t see the doors were closing. Reflection: Is this the main reason for the woman’s death? Analysis Closing doors will open when they hit people, and a normal （正常的） elevator will go up and down only after the doors are fully shut and the circuit （线路） is closed. Poor and inadequate maintenance（维护，保养） was the cause of up to 80 percent of the accidents. Measures Have a stricter assessment（评估，评定） of manufacturers and maintenance business in the elevator industry. Require all elevators and escalators to undergo checkups （检查）and adjustment （调节） every 15 days. Strengthen the training of the elevator fitters（安装工）.
