IELTS + school work
A really busy period of time for me would be last month. I had
to attend 8 hours of classes everyday, work on three term
papers, and at the same time, prepare for the IELTS test.
I had to admit that at first, I felt so overwhelmed by the
heavy workload. But very soon, I found a way to handle
them, that was to prioritize the tasks. Taking everything into
consideration, I decided that IELTS was my top priority,
because of the application requirement and deadline. I mean
I was just a mediocre student, who didn’t excel in English at
all. To get a satisfying IELTS score, I had to spare every
effort, and couldn’t afford to fail this test. So I allocated most
of my time to IELTS, and then fill the rest of my time with
compulsory but relatively less important tasks.
IELTS + school work
As for my feelings, well, I was totally stressed out, but I
also felt a great sense of accomplishment when
everything was finally done. And having been through
that, I could better appreciate the free time I have.
Besides, I learnt the importance of preparing in
advance. To be honest, I had three months to do those
term papers, and a couple of years to study English. If
I had taken better use of the time I had, I wouldn’t
have put myself into such a difficult position; I could
have done a lot better. So I’ve told myself, don’t leave
