W hile in the field of industrial ontro,l its appli ations start soon. Due to its spe ifi ity, industrial ontrol needs a real tmi e and stable sy stem. On various o as ions, requ irem ents vary. The IEC6 1158 international standard ontains 20 m a jor types of field bus, in w hi h there are nine k inds of realtmi e E thernet. This paper summ arizes and om pares the sys tem stru tures, omm un i ation m ethods, realtmi e features, syn hron izations, netw ork modu les and other aspe ts of these realtmi e E thernet. Th is paper ompares the bus type and the ring, and proposes solutions in order to hoose and develop app li ations.
