Furthermore, a Theil index decomposition analysis is performed for regional economic disparity in whole province, dividing the disparity into two parts—disparity among four plates of Changsha- Zhuzhou- Xiangtan, Dongting Lake, the Southern Hunan, the Western Hunan and disparity among counties inside the four plates. On this basis, this paper interprets main factors for the formation and evolution of regional economic disparity in Hunan province, therefore to provide policy sugg
