After entering China, the huge market demand and unique financial and legal environment provides rich soil for its rapid development. However, under the condition of market economy P2P online lending platform because the self-discipline of lack of norms, and the legal and regulatory system is not perfect and the frequent occurrence of such illegal fund-raising, pyramid scheme, foot platform etc. the risk events, showing a mixed development status, affecting the healthy development of the industry. So want to play the advantages of P2P online lending platforms, it is necessary to start from the legal supervision and institutional norms. This essay first introduces the current situation of P2P online lending platforms in China, focusing on its pure intermediary model, online and offline integration model, credit transfer model, principal and interest preservation model and their legal relations. The essay also analyses and summarizes the relevant legal risks it may cause.
