AbstractLand Abstract Land expropriation system as a baSic legal system，national laws and regulations，and our country is in a period of rapid economic development，the economic development of China’S demand for land is also growing，land acquisition is also an issue that we can not face the hot issues．In essence，the land expropriation is the restriction to the citizen’S right．Although the legal system in the specific content of this system is different，but it haS stipulated the national land expropriation must take the public interest as the goal，our country law is no exception． But it should be said that in a very long time，the definition of”public interest”in our country is too abstract and vague，which has not been specifically defined the concept of”public interest”．China promulgated the”national land expropriation and Compensation Ordinance” at the beginning of 201 1，although the’’Regulations”of the object is not the land expropriation，but the”Regulations”for the first time to try to define the concept of public interest，and carried out a series of corresponding program design，the future of China’S standard of public interest in land expropriation has a reference role，of course，we should pay attention to the theoretical study and improve and perfect．On this basis，China should further study the”public interest”in the land expropriation，in order to grasp the connotation and essence of the public interest in the legislation，regulate the land expropriation system in our country,and protect the legal private rights of citizens．This paper is divided into four parts． The first chapter mainly studies the definition of public interest in land expropriation and the comparison of related concepts．The author begins with the connotation of public interest and the present situation of public interest．The second chapter is mainly on the comparative study of the legislation about land expropriation outside the definition of public interest in several major countries and regions
