It is focus on ana lysis of the Doppler character occurring in different developm en t stage o f the torrentia l rains induced by m eso - scale w eather system and the re lationship betw een intensity o f convergence and torrential ra ins. It is found that the severe ra instorm occurring in favorable synoptic cond itions w ith m ulti- ce lls echo band is consisten t w ith itsm oving d irec- t ion. The m eso- cyclon ic convergence ( even the m eso - cyc lone feature is found in strong cellw ith re lative long life tmi e.
