The Shawshank Redemption 肖申克的救赎 城建学院--- 邹春海 A brief introduction of the movie In 1947, a banker named Andrew Andy Dufresne is convicted of murdering his wife and her lover,based on strong evidence.Although Andy didnt kill anyone,he has to spent the rest of his life in the prison named Shawshank. Red,an old inmate who is able to get some small goods for the prisoners. So Andy asked for a poster and a little hammer because of his interest in geology. In fact,he use the hammer to dig a channel in the cells wall secretly. And the poster can be just to cover the hole.Ninteen years later,he finally escape from the prison by the channel and find his freedom back. dominant roles Andy (Tim Robbins) Red (Morgan Freeman) The film portrays Andy spending nearly two decades in the Shawshank State Prison , and his friendship with Red, a fellow inmate. He helps many people including the wardenry and dedicates the expanded library . Finally, Andy escape from the prison to pursue the freedom. The story may sound simple, but the truth behind the words is remarkable. When I heard the name of the film first time, I considered the Shawshank to be a man’ name, but in fact it is a jail——a hell in the world. Not only for the inhumanity of the jailors——they behaved brutally; but also for the jail gnawed at people’ heart by keeping them waiting and waiting as life passed. The part impressed me most is when Andy got out of the jai. He extended his arms in front of him in the heavy rain as if he were welcoming the fresh air and the freedom.
