Her mother died when she was six and since then she was brought by her aunt. She studied at a Convent School. There she learnt the needlework skills. In 1905, when she was 22, she became a Café Singer. Since then she used the stage name “Coco”. During this time, she got to know two regular customers. One was an English industrialist; the other was a rich military officer. She became their lover. They gave her money to open her first millinery shop, thus began her fashion career. Chanel 5 One of the most famous perfumes in the world. Designer: Ernest Beaux Little black dress (LBD) Chanel designed LBD in 1926. It has the reputation of “百搭易穿、永不失手”. It is popular till now and is one of the most significant design in the clothes history. It was totally different from the black dress before. Since it was on the market, it always sells fast. People call it “Ford Dress” because it sold the best just like Ford cars. The design of IBD is very simple, because the designers want to keep the original style of it. They only add some little accessories.
