Lead-in Arouse students’ interest in the topic Getting around in Beijing by showing them a video. Step 2. Pre-reading Show some pictures of new words related to the passage Step 3. While-reading Fast-reading Read the text quickly and answer the following question. What means of transport are mentioned in the text? Careful-reading Part 1. Read the first part carefully and answer the question . Which sentence in the text has the same meaning as the following one? Part 2. 1. Read the second part carefully and match the numbers with the facts. 2. Important sentence. Public transport provides a cheap way to get around in Beijing. Part 3.
