My favorite festival is the Lantern Festival which has great meaning to Chinese. The Lantern Festival falls on 15th January in Chinese calendar. To hold people’s hope of peace and fairness, lanterns were made by clever labors. Their bright and lively colors give energy to weak civilians. They are also a symbol of the sun to chase the shadow away and bring warmth to the weak. So even nowadays, people still hang some lanterns of different colors in the streets.
