I know they were trying to get rid of rubbish in a way they thought was“taking a shortcut.” However, I don’t think it’s proper to clear rubbish away by such a means. Burning things does harm to people. It’s known to all that burning rubbish will give off poisonous smoke and dust which in turn pollute air. Many people contract cancer as a result of breathing the polluted air. Some of them even die of it. There are many things in rubbish that can be rotten decomposed, such as dry leaves, leftover food, etc. They can make very good fertilizer.
