After 9 years, under his leadership, Baidu now has become the third largest independent search engine and the largest Chinese language search engine in the world, taking a 70 percent market share in China. In 2005, B was successfully listed on the NASDAQ, and became the first Chinese company to be added as a component of the NASDAQ-100 Index (NASDAQ: NDX) and the NASDAQ-100 Equal Weighted Index (NASDAQ: NDXE).
