I could remember English has been my favorite since my junior high school. At that time I had a dream that one day my job must be something that connects with English. After graduating from University, I started my career in teaching English. Only then did I realize the true creed of being an English teacher. Besides teaching a foreign language, an English teacher can also help students learn and understand more about a very different culture. In addition, if knowledge is a bridge to success, then an English teacher must be a bridge for students to learn a foreign language, a bridge to aid students’ communication with foreigners, a bridge to share our Chinese culture with others. Learning English should be fun and exciting and must not be boring or with a sense of failure .After becoming an English teacher, I do whatever I can to make my class lively and instructive. I think, to be a good English teacher, he should know his subject well. His personality is as important as his knowledge. A good English teacher must be enthusiastic. He must love his students and respect them. In addition, he must also respect himself and take pride in his work. A good English teacher should be kind, encouraging, and helpful and he should motivate his students to seek knowledge. I am very content for being an English teacher. I am so grateful to have a life that is filled with teenagers’ love and trust. When my students answer my questions correctly, when they discuss passionately and when they communicate with foreigners fluently, I know I have done a great job. Nothing can replace my pleasure.
