The test is divided into three parts. Part 1 Read a short passage aloud and answer questions. Part 2 Speak on a topic. Part 3 Complete a role-play task with the examiner as your conversation partner. Part 1 Read aloud the part between the stars and then answer the questions the examiner asks you. * Paul Richardson has lived in different cities in China for more than a decade. He first came to China in 2005 to study Chinese at Lanzhou University of Technology as an exchange student. After a semester of study, he went back to New York for two years to complete his masters degree in education. He returned to China after working as an assistant education consultant in New York. He is now a senior education consultant and works in a Lanzhou- based public relations agency. * In his spare time, he works as a clothes tester. When he was a college student, he spent his spare time taking part in outdoor sports and years later, Paul has left his footprints on almost every province in China. He has been to mountains, rivers and very remote areas. This experience makes him a self-taught expert on outdoor clothes and enables him to get this part-time job. So far, he has been doing wear-tests for three years. He is even thinking of making it his full-time job, because he wants to enjoy a better work-life balance and has more time for his family.
