Those that are designed specifically for a certain piece (or pieces) of equipment and those than can be generically applied to many different pieces of equipment. Our “specific purpose” unit controllers are generally referred to as Factory Mounted UCMs (Unit Control Modules). You have heard many of the business units that have been here prior to us mention the different UCMs that are used for their HVAC equipment.
