Unit 1 Part B track 2 Well, as you all know, students at our school have to wear uniforms. I’d like to talk about what students in other parts of the world wear at school. Not all countries require students to wear a school uniform. For example, in the United States, students do not have to wear uniforms in elementary school, junior high school or even in senior high school. Part D track3 Part A. well, you know the school system in our country and the grade levels. The point I want to make today is that in other countries, the school systems are different. For example, did you know that in the United States there are four grade levels before university? These are kindergarten, elementary school, junior high school and senior high school. Sometimes the last two are called middle school and high school. And in Australia, well, there are usually just two grade levels. They are called primary school and secondary school. Part B. in the United States you need to be about six when you go to elementary school, and about 11 when you go to junior high. In Australia, kids can start when they’re five, and they go to secondary school when they are about 12. My main point here is children around the world start school or a grade level at different ages. Part G track 5 1. Girl: Aren’t they too young to go to school? Boy: No, they’re not. They are six years old this year. 2. Girl: Isn’t your cousin Tony excited about moving here next year? Boy: He is excited, especially because he’ll be going to Rivertown School. 3.
