It is also famous for the rare-earth element deposit and the Inner Mongolia Rare Earth Hi-Tech Industrial Zone. Furthermore, Baotou has a diverse culture and unique local customs. The people of Baotou are known for their hospitality and friendliness, and they have a unique cuisine that is characterized by lamb, dairy products, and other local specialties.
