To comprehensively and deeply grasp the research progress of digital factory, the relevant literature was analyzed by the bibliometrics and grounded theory. The research showed that the research process of digital factory could be divided into embryonic period (1999-2003) »exploration period (2004-2013) and development period (2014-present). Frontier research focused on technology and its application in manufacturing en­ terprises ,and the research hotspots were displayed by the characteristics of distribution and evolution. T
