As the competition in marketing becoming more and more intense, the question how to face marketing competition; improve the ability of technical innovation and self-competitive power for consequently developing ulteriorly has become an important task which is urgent to be solved for Liu Zhou Iron Steel Company . This paper begins with the background of iron and steel industry and the circumstance of enterprise, researchs the theory of the definition, connotation, classification and system of technical innovation. Besides, it also makes a deep analysis on the function of technical innovation for the increase of enterprises value mainly refers lo gaining the monopolistically commercial profit, reducing the cost, extending the market share of products, transferring the production of technical innovation, selling the usufruct, accelerating the continues increase of enterprises value etc. At the same time, this paper analyses quantitatively the contributing rate of technical innovation for the high production, pointes out that the increasing in input on technical innovation is the belter choice for the development of Liu Zhou Iron Steel Company.
